Hi, i use to sell games in my local area and i stock some games from dispenser.
A month ago i had bought 6 Rusts from one seller (the account that sent me the games was one of dispensers shared bots) and a day ago one customer complaint about having his game removed from his library (he could play a month). He has a "purchase" button instead of "play" button. But still, the game shows on his game list on the profile (maybe they still show even if you played it at least once if you get it removed), and he hasn't got any message from Steam in the client neither by e-mail.

I told the customer to contact Steam support and ask them what is the reason for the removal, because we don't even know the reason.

Thing is, i think it's very possibly a chargeback, on the other hand, I got 6 copies and sent the other five to 5 different customers, which haven't complained, at least for now.

Anyway, how can i contact or have information about the seller that sold me those 6 Rust?

Regards.

I guess the 6x RUST is from:

Thanks for the answer Joto!. I think you got a wrong transaction, the one i am talking about happened on 20th January at 7:55 pm UTC-3 , more than a month ago, and i can only find the last ten transactions on the address page, maybe you can see more info than i. I paid 18 tf2 keys + 6 TODs.

That would be this one then. The transaction is currently on page 25.

Joto wrote on his wall that his bot was trade banned, and I guess now you know why.

What? Scammers are even buying VIP bots? lol? This is very lame...

Oops sorry I have "1 week ago" in my mind. That is http://dispenser.tf/id/76561198163203786 then.

Thanks for helping me, alright, i see he hasn't connected since 12th Februrary, i added him but i think he won't connect any soon. His trade listings are closed and profile is private. I am still waiting for Valve's word about what happened to this Rust (and, if he did refund the games, i should be notified from other customers).

I don't understand well the functionality of the bot, is http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198160912247 his bot only? i see the games in the inventory are the same games he had listed (that are disabled to sell). That means those items are his?

Considering if all those items belonged to him, If this Rust happened to disappear because of a chargeback, i will ask the other 5 customers if they still have the game. In this case, if i provided proof from Steam support, would i be able to be refunded what i have paid from his store according to the ammount of disappeared Rusts he sold me? I am asking now this because i am afraid, but i don't know if this is a chargeback, but is very possible.

Regards

I really do not know if Valve will refund you, you have to persuade them about it.
Apparently he got the bot banned too and have 400+ items locked. So refunding from his shop items is also impossible.

I will wait for my buyer to be answered from Valve (i already gave him an extra Rust), after that, i will ask the other 5 customers. I see it very difficult that Valve will help with this (the non-tradable thing just allows Valve to give a shit about losses), but anyway, i will try. And after that obviously report that account everywhere, etc.

Do you know why he got his bot trade banned?
Edit: Shouldn't there be shown a warning or a dialog that the bot is trade banned? http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198160912247

Edit 2: It is very disappointing for me to realize how many fake profiles and see how many connections of Steam friends i can find between this person's profile and his Steam friend's ones. I will write updates here.

I found some profiles that are all related everyone with eachother around the thief's account (most seem active and have games):

http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198163203786?t=1421760369 (thief's account that scammed me)
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198063642199
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198017544778
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198025933411
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198076613910
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198080868570?t=1405182290 (similar account)
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198019293959
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198009719337?t=1422669498 (account i suspect is the "main" account of the thief, because of the level and games)
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198083025609
http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198009689335 (inactive, private)

Maybe it's some kind of group that is very bonded, but that doesn't proof anything anyway, most likely many are part of a dota 2 team, they play a lot of dota.

But i believe it's http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198009719337 (neon) and is related to both accounts i marked above. Because:

1º) The three accounts are/were related in friend list altogether. "#Hustle" and "#HustleHeart" have similar nicknames, and both have a "hashtag" at the begenning. The three profile thumbnails are related with rappers ("#HustleHeart" and "neon" have rappers) and/or black people ("#Hustle").

2º) Between yesterday and today, the thief's account who scammed me (and scammed other people, i could ask one of them) became private. A month ago (31/01/15, most recent log apart from today) "neon" had both "#HustleHeart" and "#Hustle" on his Steam friends, today (01/03) they are not in his list. Simultaneously, on 26/02/15, "#HustleHearts" and "neon" were friends, and today, they are not friends, so, in the last 3-4 days, he removed "#HustleHeart" from his friend list, and possibly "#Hustle" too.
So maybe he deleted them after doing these scams that seemed to be happening in the last 5 days (at least, that's the time when games started getting revoked).

3º) The steam profile link for the account "#Hustle" is http://steamcommunity.com/id/neonpac and the he had the exact same avatar as "neon" and nickname 'neonpac' on 29/08/2013: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198080868570?t=1377782192.
It is true that #Hustle/neonpac could have been an impersonator, but he was friend of "neon" since Janurary 2013, when #Hustle was registered, and they unfriended just some days ago.

What can i do people? I have been a couple of hours looking into this shit. How can it be that someone pays a vip bot and still scam people? What can be done to avoid this?

On the other hand.. People with high reputation and experience in trading (Neon) know that scamming is bad and not convenient, and even if he got to scam, risking for a couple of keys is just not worth it. So this pretty much voids anything i said before.

Another customer (2 out of 6 for now) complained about having his game revoked, so, definitely a chargeback. Joto, is this bot banned already? I think that's the least he deserves.

You did an interesting research over there.
The clues that this network originates from neon is interesting too.

However, for me the big puzzle just isn't showing up. I mean... I see neon selling here for some time now (since months), I doubt he would intentionally go into this revoking parade.
Moreover I do think the account that you bought the rusts from doesn't seem like being prepared for the revoke ( tf2 key -> csgo/treasure key trade on dispenser with a massive amount).

I'd recommend you to talk to neon about the situation. I'd be really interested what you two find out.

It's entirely possible that he just fucked up and didn't expect Valve to catch on and lock down the bot. RIP those keys.

It's weird, #HustleHearts is connecting every couple of days, he even accepted me as friend. Neon was online a couple of days ago (he accepted me too) but now, also, he is connecting every couple of days but not online. I sent a message to both (asked neon if he knew about #Hustle) and tried to convince #HustleHearts, but no response.

3 out of 6 confirmed revoke.

I will wait a couple of days to see if i get response from any, if not i will send a ticket to steam support.

So, bot is trade banned? How did Steam know that he sold the games through the bot? Gift logs?

Update:
Steam support won't help.
