Have a bunch of crates in my inventory that will not allow me to do anything with them, and I am not sure where they came from. I deposited a bunch, but the total number of crates is more than 12 ? not sure what is up.

Can you take a screenshot of your inventory?

Oh we changed that so items in active trades will also shown in your inventory 'highlighted'. This is completely normal.
