The security measure isn't working for me. When it press resend validation code, it doesn't send me anything. Could this be because I accidentally removed the dispenser.tf bot from my friends list? Please help. Thanks.

I had the same problem, simply navigate to the bot's steam page and add it as a friend and restart the authentication process. It will accept your friend request then send the code.
