This bot isn't sending me a trade request. It says its inviting me to but the trade request never comes.

Either keep trying or remove the bot from your friendlist and add it again.
Note: Steam may block you from adding the bot as friend after removal. In that case you have to block it and unblock it on Steam to get yourself unblocked.
