I don't have any option to close this trade. When I try and edit it by clicking on the items it gives a random batch amount no matter how many I attempt to set and it's marking a random amount of the items in my inventory as 'in use' for that trade.

Any help would be really appreciated and perhaps a suggestion to close the trade in the edit screen?

The issue has resolved itself. Not sure how or why but there we go :)
