I haven't made any trades for backpack expanders so I was a bit surprised to find them in my inventory in place of metal. My trade history for the shop has not involved any so how have I ended up with them?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks :)

P.S. If it's because my inventory was not large enough to hold all the items traded to my bot then please apply 5 of the expanders

The BP expanders are lost items. I am not sure if they are yours but you seem to be the only one selling BP expanders so I guess they were yours.

Okay good. Please leave them in your bot for now. I would check the bots history and confirm their ownership when I have the time.

EDIT: I checked the bot's history and found the BP expanders were not yours and they were actually mine left on an empty bot account. I bought them off you to expand bot space. Sorry for the confusion. :P
