I have a copy of a RU:Region-locked Cod:Ghosts, Is there anyway I can get a refund? Over the last two days i've been trying to add the person whose bot I bought it off but his just been ignoring me. Any ideas?

Well there is nothing you can do since you traded for the game. You should be more careful when you buy steam gifts from bots or other traders.
Your only hope was to talk with the guy who gave you the copy, and kindly ask him (as its not his fault) to take the copy back and give you your items, if he's ignoring you... im sorry but there is nothing you can do to get a refund.

Maybe it would be a good idea to re-sell it, maybe at the same or lower price. In this way you might just get a few items back. I guess its better than being unable to activate that copy right ? I wish you good luck :)

not true my freind. you need to learn dispenser a lil more. alot of games do not say locked when you search for the game no way to tell till you actually get it in your inventory. there should be a penalty for anyone that puts locked games in thier store, as they do it know they can pass it off on some unsuspectying person. and that is wrong on so many levels

You cannot get a refund, at least not from us. You are responsible for checking the trade before accepting. Region lock is marked on the gift so it is largely your fault for accepting the trade at the first place.

And also consider what GameOverGR has said.

Actually this has nothing to do with the dispenser, when the bot sends you a trade offer you can see steam gift's (or whatever item it is) description by moving your mouse over it and when an item is region locked there is a warning message shown with red letters, this is the exact same way you verify an item is not region locked if you would do a normal trade. This verification can be done before you click to accept the offer. So i would say to OP keep your eyes open as the solution is there already :)

Two words: onsite purchase

He can check the gift's description on the site too, with the same method. Just move the mouse over the gift.
(same when you have to proceed the onsite purchase)

It looks like the custom name says whether a gift is region locked or ROW. Look at the right bottom corner box for Custom Name.
