my number of trades seems to be stuck at 5 trades dispite me doing a few more than 5 is there some kind of issue?

Trade is number of the trades that You created. The count of trades is called ,,popularity"

Yes, that's the number of open trade of your shop. Not how many trades your shop has been made.
