Terraria is a 2D adventure game developed by indie developer Re-Logic. The game rules are simple: dig, fight, build and explore. The mechanics of building in this game resembles the famous Minecraft, in which you put material in blocks together and make a whole. You start with a pickaxe and an axe which are used for gathering resources from the environment and protect yourself from harmful enemies, and then use the resources to craft furniture and building blocks to construct your own house.

Features

Your first house is the base for your further exploration. The bed is your spawn point and you could craft weapons and potions from a workbench and a bottle to aid your battle. The house is also the place NPCs reside who you could purchase stuffs from. As you dig down from the ground level, you will face tougher enemies in different environments. Slaying these enemies give you valuable resources in crafting. At the same time, there are also more variety of resources and equipments at depth. So it is a challenging and rewarding task to dig down and explore the world.

The game has no distinct goals and you set one up on your own. For example, if you enjoy fighting, you could go down all the way to the lava level to fight the toughest enemies. If you enjoy exploring, you could dig through the uncountable blocks underground to search for items. And if you enjoy building, there are varieties of resources for you to craft what you want. There is no limit and restriction about what you do and self-fulfilling is the goal of the game.

Development Status

Since the game is released in a rather early state, game play bugs and the lack of content were significant problems for the game. But after a series of updates, the game has become a lot better in these aspects. Though, the game still lacks long-term replay value because a player would have done everything available in the game eventually. For this, many players have suggested features like competitive online modes and AI controlled faction, but none of them has been added yet at this point. The developers have promised such features to be added in the future.

We currently host one public server for Terraria which supports up to 16 players. Since the game has a relatively small community in Hong Kong, you will not see many people in game. But still, do not hesitate in trying it out. The game could be still fun even for one player alone.

原來改左ip,仲以為無開terraria server

wat IP?

Is HSP terraria currently 1.1?

It is running official 1.1 now, but since all the dedicated server mods are going to terminate their development, Terraria will be stuck with running the cheat/grief plagued official server software.

One thing I observed from the break up of current server mod developers and Redigit is Redigit actually considers Terraria as a single player game rather than multiplayer, this is very different from how Notch sees Minecraft.

If Redigit looks Terraria this way I think they should stop adding new contents to the game and start a new game project. They got the money already.

Heya, I'm from the Philippines, and I was looking for a relatively close Terraria server to play on. Stumbled on your site, and tried out the server. Looks like I'll be playing more here!

Though, are you guys just starting out on the game? If so, I'll be playing using a new character then!

See you in game!

The way we run the server is we will reset the server regularly as there aren't much creativity projects in terraria.

Please update version 1.1.1 :x

Updated to 1.1.1.

Sorry, can you please explain what happened to the server? The spawn point became a giant pit

You have encountered the most annoying issue of multiplayer Terraria - Griefing.

Which means some stupid ass had entered the server, dug a giant pit and let you drop into the bottom of the planet. The official server release do not consist of any protection against this, and probably never will because the developers do not plan on supporting multiplayer Terraria in long term.

There are community made server alternatives, but the Terraria developers refused to support the further development of such projects, causing these alternatives to be extincted in the future.

Now some good players had fixed the giant pit, and we can just hope there will not be another griefer for a while.

Restarted a new world and added password to the server due to griefing.

hmm posting the pw here would stop the griefing? whoever grieved before had access to this page to gain your IP didnt they?

No point locking a server with a password published to public. We would simply reverse the world every time to day 0 instead.

I hear crickets every time I join the server, but I guess i'll start with expanding this wooden house...

Okay, I've put up a spawn point building with a furnace, anvil and workbench inside.
There are chests on the second floor to deposit unwanted materials in case others want it.
Please don't destroy/change/steal the building's materials, walls or the facilities inside it.
