1. I'd like to request 10 backpack expanders be applied to my bot. They are already on the bot and ready to go!
2. I'm looking to start making trades where I buy steam gifts for keys/refined. Is there any easier way to find which games have which ID? I cant seem to find them sadly. I would greatly appreciate. Very useful site so far, planning on donating more in the near future :)
The games are grouped alphabetically. So let's say you wish to put CS:GO into a wishlist. First choose "Steam Gifts", then expand "C", type in filter "global offensive", and you should find the item quite easily.
I understand that. What I mean some games have certain restrictions for each gift. For example region-locked copies or something not as obvious like gameplay limitation. The way you can tell which gift is which is getting the steam gift ids and match it with the steam database for steam gifts. A good example would be left 4 dead 2. There are locked copies, which you can clearly see have a tag on them. But there is also an australian copy that IS region-free, but the gameplay is censored severely. The steam gift ids are the only way I can tell them apart. Im basically asking if there was a way to get more info from each game, whether it's a list or something you might enable. I'm not sure how likely that is, but I'd thought I'd ask!
Valve's Web API does not support Steam Inventory. We cannot tell the "AppID" as we obtain Steam gift information through the user's inventory (Inventory JSON). The Inventory JSON has an attribute to tell games apart (classid). However, there is no direct relation between the AppID from the Steam database and the classid from the Inventory JSON and as a result we basically have no way to tell exactly about the content and version of the gifts being traded here. There could be 10 classid for a game yet they are actually all the same. We do not know and we probably will never know about their difference. Some classid exists simply to fix a typo in the description.
That is also why in the item list you could only find gifts that have been deposited here before, but not automatically updated as Steam adds game to the store.
Conclusion: We also do not have the information you are looking for. You can only guess as much as you could from the information box at the bottom right corner - Region locked would be shown in the name/description and there is a string of number which is the classid. The classid, however, without information from Valve basically tells nothing except the number of versions exist for that particular game.
