We currently host 10 Public TF 2 servers. Server Vanilla #1 and #2 are configured 24 players max with default setting. #3 runs at default settings with random critical and random spread turned off. Highlander servers run a 9v9 highlander mode in which all classes are restricted to 1 person each. 4 MVM servers and two of which run on expert difficulty. The multi-purpose servers run the MGE mod and are available to be reserved for matches.

All of our Team Fortress 2 servers are ranked with the Sourcemod TF2 Ranking plugin. You can access the ranking in game by typing 'rank' or 'players' in chat. Servers are also running Sourcemod anti-cheat, preventing players running various common cheating external programs to be playing in our servers.

You do not have the required permissions to access that group feature.
:(

Should be able to do it now.
I accidentally set the permission to owner only sosad.

I'm a frequent player in HK servers, and yes I mostly play in hsp servers now. I have one major complaint about server #4, the server performance drop drastically without warning and the hit detection become extremely unreliable. While hitscan weapons are still ok, projectile weapons like flamethrower an Rockets are very hard to aim and hit even if I have a very low ping. I don't know if this happens in other hsp servers, but I'm sure #4 has this problem.
I also suggest to add "nominate" command to the server, as most of the time maps we want to play are not on the list and we just keep playing certain maps like goldrush, badwater and upward.

One final request is to install class limiting plug-in to reduce the number of snipers, spies, engineers and heavies, not only annoying, but also slowing down the game. While some teams are not able to breakthrough the defense, some engineers will lead a 5-CP map into stalemate.

Edit: Never mind about the engie limitation.

We are aware of the server performance problem a while ago, but it is not yet solvable. This happens on servers running on new Intel core i5/i7 cpus, which the players experience lag spikes even the server is not loaded and has plenty of spare processing power. We are talking to Valve about this but I don't think it can be solved in short time period.

Class limitations are there for spies, engineers and heavies, and we are planning to limit snipers as well to avoid teams with 6 or 7 newbie snipers in a 12 players team, which eventually put the better players in the team in a hopeless handicap and frustration.

One more suggestion. The replay system doesn't seems to wok very well on your servers.
Firstly, you will have to record it manually. This is somehow inconvenient if I forgot to start the recording when I spawn. While some popular servers like Starhub records your last life automatically and provide you the file when you are dead.
Secondly, the replays I downloaded from your servers are mostly corrupted, only one of them was successfully downloaded but sadly was nothing of interest. I don't know if this is a server-side problem or just a bug, but this doesn't happen when I'm playing on other servers with replay turned on.

We are aware of the replay problem, I had sent another email to JonL of Valve to discuss about this problem again. Once we have any progress I will keep you informed.

Also, please set !votekick and !votemute to public access.

Its pointless to have these functions blocked off to everybody except admins, since admins can kick players immediately without having to vote.

First of all, votemute is completely useless as you can just mute someone on your own for whatever reasons, there is no point making a vote to also 'force others to mute someone'.

About votekick, we used to have that features but it did no good for the servers since people only abuse it for their personal grudge, like vote kicking players on the other team who play very well or just anyone they hate. Good players won't even have a chance to play when votekick is available and so we completely disable voting.

And I don't really think that votekick is by any mean useful because there is nothing you can do to grieve in the game except trolling. But you can just mute the trolls so it is not the end of the day.

For cheating, we decide to set up a reporting system because most people can't judge cheating correctly. Many of the cheating reports we have received are false alarms and we don't want anyone to be kicked simply because they play better than anyone else. So players should use the reporting system to record a demo and we will judge it after investigating the demo. There will be some sort of delay but there is no other better choices.

BTW, our admins almost never kicked a single person until now except known cheaters. But I have been kicked a few times when votekicking was enabled.

While replays don't work is it possible to download SourceTV demos instead? Even if they are only available for a short time after each round, it would be very nice!

Interesting idea, but I need to think about how to implement it elegantly, and, actually it is in conflict with the cheater reporting facility we are currently running now.

Implement this properly probably more difficult than urging Valve to fix their software. Although they don't even care how bad in state their software are right now, especially for the server side stuff.

I guess fixing the replay may be better, now server #1, 2, 3, 5 got Replay enabled. What I worry about right now is Replay may reduce the realtime performance of the game servers.

I will let them on in these servers, so players can compare the performance of the servers with or without Replay.

Servers with replay on do not have significantly reduced performance.

Replay seems introduced significant disk IO and slow down the whole server machine during high load. I had disabled replay for some servers but Vanilla #2 for now, see if the overall server performance improve, then I will try to add more replay enabled servers if resources are allowed.

Mimibomb: 近日是否仍有上述情況?

Can you add the replay system into the servers?

Edit:saw the earlier comment, hope you can re-add the replay system as soon as possible,i tried to delete this message and getting this:

Unhandled Exception

An unhandled exception was thrown by the application.

PS:also getting this error while trying to view the TF2 ranking page

Replay creates lag.

Also the web ranking should no longer work unless the original author would update it.

typing 'menu' in the server shows up a error 500 page.

It has been brought to my attention that a player was kicked because they were using mini-sentries. Not that I condone these sort of cheap tactics but I don't think its a legitimate excuse to kick players that have done nothing outside the bounds of legality (using hacks, aimbots, glitches). If you have a problem with mini-sentries please try to solve the situation a little more creatively, rather than simply kicking. It causes PR issues and its something I think we'd like to avoid around here.
