I am 李漆, one of the chairman of a HSP new clan - 漆友 (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/7s-), this is writing for inviting u guyz to enjoy 9v9 friendly match wiv us =] Hoping we can hv an opportunity to enjoy a nice game wiv u guyz.

As we would like to improve ourselves like team working from a friendly match and also the more importation is to try to learn from all of u pros =]

The detail of match proposal is stated below:
Map: 1st - Choosen by Home team, 2nd - Choosen by Visitor team, 3rd - Random
Rounds to win: CP - 3, KOTH - 4
Maps to win: 2
Time limit of the map:) 30 minutes. (wiv extra time till the time of stopswitch at the middle top of the screen is ran out If both sides could not reach required rounds to win, higher team scores side will win the map
Halftime:) 15 minutes (wiv extra time till the time of stopswitch at the middle top of the screen is ran out and after 2rounds for CP and 3rounds for KOTH
Participants:) 18, 9v9 (Total maximum 28 wiv the registered reserve players
Reserve players: Maximum 5 players
Rules:) UCG Highlander rules (Weapon ban: Enforcer, Machina, Cow Mangler, Unusual hats, set hats, reserve shooter
Weapon restriction: Enforcer, Machina, Cow Mangler, Unusual hats, set hats, reserve shooter
Spectators: Disallow execpt the referees
Replays: Confirmed it will recorded by HSP
Date & Time: TBC, weekend afternoon or night
Venue: Confirmed the venues will provided by HSP
Squad registration: Both teams should submit the registration of their squads before 2 days of the match
Substitution rules:) Allow changing maximum 2 registrated players between round by round also the halftime, No substitution allowed during the progressing round excepts someone disconnect. (The game will be paused for maximum total 5minutes in a map, the reserve players can fill in anytime in this situation. A substitution quotas of next round will be used if a players fill in. Referee will decide the disconnect substitution is eihter abused or not and opposite side hv right to complain during the game. No one can fill in the progressing round when referee decides the disconnect substitution is abused.


This is my first time to purpose a friendly match for TF2, if u guyz found any information is missing, plz dun hesitate to point it out =]

Rules will be exactly the same to UGC highlander league except weapon bans.

For recording, HSP should be able to record a STV demo.
We will review the other rules later.

Maps I suggest: cp_gravelpit, cp_granary, koth_lakeside

We can cancel stuff like half time in the UGC tournament and play less rounds instead. Like 3 rounds for CP and 4 round for KOTH? And then we can play 3 maps and the team which wins more maps wins this friendly match.

And about the time, I think Sat/Sun afternoon would be a good time too, if you are available.

Agree, we could use the rules same to UGC highlander league.
Also, I've seen the weapon banned list in UGC, I think it is fair, we can try it in future.

The maps, Shall we say that our side choose the frist one, then the second one is choosen by ur side, then the third map is random?

I could agree that we can hv a halftime. Also agree wiv u that we could play less rounds, like 3 rounds for CP and 4 round for KOTH. Then the condition to reach halftime should it be 25 minutes and after 2rounds for CP and 3rounds for KOTH?

I do think reserve should not be allowed in the server during the matches to minimize the impact of ghosting (informing others of current game status / positioning). However, as long as both sides agree, we would rcon pause the server for a short period (at most 5 minutes) for the reserve to join.

50 minutes is a bit too long for koth / cp5 as matches would be resolved very quickly depending on the maps we play. 30 minutes should be enough for most maps. Also win limit per map would be 5 for cp and 4 for koth as tournament mode will be run.

As for attack defends, stopwatch is used, it will be A team attacks first , B team attacks second. (reset stopwatch) B team attacks third. A team attacks last. If there's a tie, then A team will attack first and B team attacks second with no stopwatch reset).

p.s. Rico can you add the 4 ugc scripts to the servers? Also, can you give Li7 the booking right for server MP 1 and MP 2 so his team would practice with the config running to get used to the tournament mode settings and practice if they don't have their own server?

They can watch via STV when waiting. This is because STV has a slight delay from the actual game, thus minimizing the impact of ghosting.

Oh, that's great!! I was concerning that they may get bored for waiting, and they do not know wt's the game going on. As I shall make a quite high frequency of substitution to test our squad for future =]

For the third map we may randomly draw out 3 maps, then both teams eliminate one map from the pool, and we play the remaining one.
This may increase the chance for us to play maps we wanted to play, while not causing too much fairness issue

UGC lifted the ban of strange weapons. You are now allowed to use them.
Unusual hats and item sets are still banned however.

Reminder: Date is not confirmed. May captains of both team please propose a possible date.

Due to current game-breaking bugs in TF2, may I suggest delaying the matches till these bugs are fixed by Valves?

I think we don't really need to worry too much, Valve should be able to fix the bug 1 or 2 days later, don't be so hasty it's not even Monday for them right now.
