Hey guys!

It's nice to see you try to improve the site, and implement new features.

But I think this update is just too radical. We shall see what happens in the coming days, but buying from dispenser bots supposed to be easy.

Instead of this the need for logging in, and putting the trade offer URL is something that in one hand might rises suspicion in our customers, on the other hand their laziness will might overcome, and just skip our trades on tf2op to buy from somebody who they only need to add and then trade with.

I recommend you to either:
- put the regular trading system back parralel to this
- give us the trade offer link of our bots (might with some 4 digit owner-connected code that the customer should write in the comment section) and make a system that refreshes the bot's trade offers section in every 2 mins or so, and accepts the offers that are acceptable

I hope either our customers will adapt to your new feature, or you'll investigate further what you can implement yet, but I'm afraid there will be some problems.

Sincerely,
Siera

The main problem is that, the most of users have no idea how to put this trade offer link and they resign. You can use the old system and do everything to keep it up, or just accept the new one and watch how Your site is getting forgotten. I was glad when I was one of the first 100 VIP donator and watching how this site is getting more and more popular and new update will kill this site soon.

Users might be also worried that this site force them to give You sensitive data which let You to steal items from their accounts or steal their whole accounts, now this site looks very suspicious (/suspected I don't know which form is right).

I know that the profits from this site are not to high. Somebody pay once 50$ and dont pay anymore and I think thats why You don't want to spend much time on improving this site.
On tf2outpost dontaros were only for short period of time, guy who donated once and was marked as donator will be donator forever, but then they created subscription (each month of premium costs 5$). Imagine if You do something similar and You will have 100-500 subscribers, You will get 500 - 2500$ per month and I think thats what could make this site more profitable to You. I'm paying 5$ each month on tf2outpost and it was still profitable for me till now, when I have 0 trades because new system on dispenser killed all bot trades...

If You add:
+ a fair popularity system that I described in ,,Suggestions / To Do List"
+ 5-10$ subscribtions for new users(something like medium donator(5$) and vip(10$)) per month
+ give back the old trading system and improve it
Your site might get very popular and You could earn much more in the future if You upgrade it well. Higher popularity of site = more profit from subscriptions and ads!

Honestly, the only reason people would want to use sites like these is for the Ease of Use. Once that's gone, like in this case, people WILL move away from the site to easier things. Right now, I'm regretting having deposited those keys because I literally CANNOT do anything with them because the system here keeps erroring out - not to mention the fact that it's just too overly complex for something that should be so simple. I get that Steam is changing a lot of it's structure, programming wise - but in that case, you'd either work around it and make things easier (not harder like how this site is now) or just have someone Re-Engineer the new Steam.

Blue Champion is also very much correct in saying that the site looks suspicious, and it does now, more than ever before. I was more than suspicious when "Depositing" my "now stuck in limbo keys", when I saw I had a essentially "Gift" a bot my items and pray to god no random error occurs where my keys just end up in Purgatory for no reason. That's what people have problems with, the fact that the one easier - Bot Adds, you grab your crap and the bot sent it's crap your way and you're done - to now, which is EXTREMELY overly complex for the average end user.

Sorry for the consecutive post but - I will pretty much explain how it goes down for the end user:

*New Customer sees game for real good price, buys his/her keys from Marketplace.
*New Customer attempts to initiate a trade with someone for X Game...
*Trade Fails because it requires an Trade Offer URL in Security
*New Customer is baffled and does not understand (Leads to 2 things - Customer Leaves OR...)
*New Customer reads the "Help" page and does not understand (Leads to 2 things (again) - Leaves OR...)
*New Customer begins to understand that he/she HAS to add his/her keys to the Site. (Customer may find site suspicious and leaves or..)
*New Customer FINDS the info (by mistake or by exploring) and adds their keys and URL to the correct areas.
*New Customer tries to trade again, website says "Backpack does not meet necesarry requirements" (Customer gets angry)
*New Customer tries their hardest to figure out what to do and continuously get frustrated (Customer might ask for keys and leave Or...)
*New Customer figures out how to add items to Backpack, but transfer fails continuously (Customer gets even more angry, same as above or)
*New Customer finally manages to transfer items to backpack and succesfully finishes a trade. (Customer may be so put off by the complex nature of the new System and abandons the site.)

- - Personally, I'm at the point where I just want my keys back, but I can't even Withdraw my keys out back to my inventory on Steam. Mainly because I don't know how. These changes aren't explained very well ANYWHERE, it's all literally trial and error. You're more at risk of the customer leaving WELL before they try doing anything because it's a frustrating experience to say the least. I know personally I wouldn't use this website again if this new System is kept in place or atleast things aren't PROPERLY marked: like for god's sake have a button that says "Withdraw to Backpack For Trade"(Setting up to purchase) or "Withdraw Back to Steam Inventory" (Keys Recall) or hell, make the System be able to discern when you already HAVE keys in your inventory instead of HAVING to transfer them to your backpack (if it even works that way, I can't get crap done as it always fails to transfer).

Your biggest issue at the moment is how unfriendly this is to newcommers, and like I said already, I'm already at the point where I just want my keys back (Might be hitting up that "Contact Us" page soon to personally as for my stuff back) and using Outpost or SteamTrades. I prefered the site when it was just "Click this and this, do trade and be on your way".

I even would pay a monthly fee to maintain my old bot in your host t, this system is my downfall, 0 trades in 2 days ,buyers add me directly and tell me they are stupid and do not know buy

i see show sesions, last 7 is send error, i lost 7 trades in only one dayyy .....how many in one week ?

if this will be the position of dispenser i can pay for one private bot hosted in your site or will I have to sell everything and leave the trades

I'm kind of surprised, but I sold 13 games for 6+ different users, since the new dispenser update came out.
Checking my history, it seems that all of the user are well-experienced steam users/traders (and most of them are from Thailand ,wtf? - might they are one group of friends)

As far as I see, there are serious fall-backs in most of the sellers shop history, BUT(!) there are sales. So I think this easier anonymous purchase + saving the trade offer URL in the cookies stuff might will help adapt to the new system among our customers.

All in all, I'm more positive on the topic than I was yesterday, but still think, this was kind of radical.

ps.: You should implement a feature in the new shop log style so that one can switch between pages.

Here is what we will do:

1. Give a one click trade offer link to users, all they have to do is to click the link to get to their Steam page and copy and paste their trade offer link out.
2. Rebuild anonymous purchase. Users only have to provide their link once and it will be saved (if they have logged in it will be saved in the database or else it will be saved in their browser cookies)
3. They can repeat anonymous purchase with one click as long as they do not delete their cookies or change their trade offer link.

I hope this is simple enough.

Steam Trade can never improve to the point that one can not logging in and do everything with one click. But with trade offer we can be _close_ to that. As long as you are willing to spend a few seconds to do the initial setup.

The deposit code will be removed for direct deposit. It is actually only needed for another purpose.

I figured out why it was prone to failing. The Trade URL really is THE single most important thing. This would be easily fixed with a proper guide, either ways, I got everything working nicely now. It isn't complex in the least, but the lack of proper explanation is what makes this so hard to use.

sounds good , seems like you have the it planned out already

This new system isn't easy to use.

Most of this web's users are buyers that don't want to wait for their trade. Most of them don't trade very often, I bet they don't even know that a trade offer link exists. I think that this sudden and radical change will kill much of the trading in this website.

With the old trading system, many people added me to ask how the web worked, and although it wasn't the simplest system, it was easy to learn. Compared to the old one, this new system will make those customers' heads explode!

The problem with this change is making a sudden all-in for the new system without even telling us. The change could have been made gradually, you could have kept both systems for a month so both sellers and buyers could have taken their time to adapt. The trade offer system was, in my opinion, not even tested, and if it had coexisted with the first one you could have evaluated if it was going to be succesful, what to improve or which are its main failures and how would you solve them.

Also, I think that we'd all appreciate some information when changes like this or sevice cuts are going to be carried on.

Summing up, imo, the problem of this website is that it's getting less user friendly. We, the VIP Donators, won't have any problem to adapt, but I think that customers don't want and don't have enough time to learn and I think they might give up learning how this work.

Disagree. Having the 2 different systems running at once isn't as easy as u make it out to be and will cause it's own problems. For the purchasers; If they are met with 2 options and they are familiar with one, they will use that untill u take it away. Sadly it's also an either-this-or-that story and there's no gradual in between.
